Love : Silkygirl 2-in-1 Protective Top and Base Coat

Hello hello!
Today I will be doing a special review on one of the star products every girl MUST HAVE.
Sadly, this thing is available in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia only. I'm not sure about other countries.
This baby is a really worthy "I don't mind purchasing 10 bottles of these" item.
Yes, its THAT great!
If you are a mani/pedi girl, you will be saving plenty on this worthy item!
Read on to know why..
This is how the star item looks like.
I'm sorry as I do not have any swatches on how shiny this nail polish base and top coat look on nails.

As you have noticed, the bottle is half full. Actually, its half empty.
3/4 of the nail polish base and top coat is used.
You know, this star-worthy item proves to us that you don't need to spend more than RM30 for a beauty buy. Good quality things do come in small price tags. ;)

So here's my rating :
Packaging : 5/5 stars.
Its a base and top coat! I don't mind simple packaging!
Sometimes packaging just don't do, ya' know. Its the quality of the product that matters.
Cos a lot of us women pay for the packaging more than for the quality of the product.
This packaging deserves 5 stars as it is convenient and easy to carry around. =)
Colour : -
Clear. Its a base and top coat!
Quality : 5/5 stars.
This product deserves awards!
It is THE best base and top coat I've ever used!
I love how smooth it applies. How shiny it is and how quickly it dries after application.
My nails look like its fresh out of the nail salon! ;)
I also love how lasting this base and top coat is.
Many bloggers love the Face Shop's base and top coat. I love that one too; but this one is the clear winner!
Price : 5/5 stars.
A clear winner as well. Selling for only RM11.90 at major pharmacies nationwide; this base and top coat is THE quality budget buy to buy! (LOL!)
So yes, it will always be the best base and top coat; EVER!

For International customers, do check www.silkycosmetics.com and inquire regarding buying this product.
Toodles!

Next!

My all-time fave mascara!
Has its cons though.
Read on to read about it! ;)

August Must-Haves!

So yes, I know this month is my fave month..September!
But I just gotta shout out my August must-haves!
A lot of them are drugstore brands and cheap; so you get quality and you save money as well!

They are :
- Elianto Nail Color in 34 Light Coral
(amazing amazing quality! RM5 per bottle. You must not miss this!)
- Eyeko Indigo Polish
(I love this so much, its brought everywhere by me!)
- The Face Shop Nail Color in PK105
(Peeps, bright HOT pink is the must-have this season! Go on, express yourself!)
- Silkygirl 2-in-1 Protective Base and Top Coat
(This is the MUST-BUY item! The base and top coat is of good quality and my nails are prepped and protected! Not only that, the shine it gives is wonderful! Super glossy!)
- Sunsilk Co-Creations for Straight Hair protecting leave on (co-created by Teddy Charles)
(I love this hair leave on conditioner! Smells good..works well! I have straight to wavy hair..so this leave on conditioner not only tames my frizzes, but also smoothes and softens my hair! You can get this at all pharmacies or drugstores at RM3.20 each!)
- Silkygirl Lash Prism Waterproof Mascara in 02 Dark Brown
(Beauties on a budget, this mascara is THE mascara to buy if you can't afford to spend on Maybelline. They are wonderful alternatives and they lengthen and curl your lashes perfectly!)
- ELF Nail Polish Remover pads
(Although you need two wipes to thoroughly remove all the nail polish from the nails of both hands, I find this item a must-have for the to-go girl, like me!)
- Forever Living Aloe Lips
(RM15 per tube..this lip balm smells nice and applies well. Its multi-purpose for me as this lip balm can help you cure cuts and bruises, as well as protecting dry areas from ..drying?)

I will be updating on my September must-haves!
Thinking of getting a BB Cream..any recommendations?

Love : Silkygirl Moisture Gloss Lipcolor in Pretty Nude

I am a huge fan of Silkygirl!
I own almost everything from their range of products.
They are local (yes, local! Malaysia Boleh!) and affordable!
Best part is, they are kind of high quality too.
(Yes, kind of; as some of their products are not really up to my expectations.)

Silkygirl is a cosmetics company based in Malaysia. They are produced by Alliance cosmetics.
Today I am going to review the Moisture Gloss lipcolors (which I so love!) in Pretty Nude.
I am not really sure of the price as I bought them during a sale at Watsons (2 lipsticks for RM9.90! Cheap or what!), but the last time I checked at Sasa, they are priced at around RM10.90 for one. Its still cheap! Good quality too!

The packaging is chic.
Swatch of the colour on my hand.

Before I go further by showing you the lip swatches, I would like to say that these lipsticks are amazing in quality! They apply very smoothly and they look pretty glossy too.
I am very satisfied with this lipstick purchase, although a little dissapointed as the colour, Pretty Nude, is not what I would say nude. Its pinkish-orange-nude. So it looks a little bright on my lips.
I thought this is a nude colour (due to its name) and bought it without swatching it on my hands as the tester is nowhere to be found at that particular Watsons outlet.
But I am happy with the quality as it is really smooth and creamy.

So here's my ratings :
Packaging : 5/5 stars.
Classy and chic. Its a bronze colour tube.
Colour : 3/5 stars.
It is a lovely colour, but I am dissapointed that its not nude. The name is a little misleading to me. =(
Its very pigmented though.
Quality : 5/5 stars.
Goes on smooth and creamy.
It looks like a gloss except that it has staying power of a lipstick.
It stays on for like 6 hours provided you don't eat anything. The perfect tip for staying power of lipsticks on your lips is to drink your drinks with a straw. Lol.
Like other lipsticks, you can layer this up for a perfect full coverage.
Very moisturising too.
Scent : Fragranced free.
I am okay with any kind of lipstick; scented or non-scented. I dislike the really scented ones though, and those which have that dough or whatever scent. Ugh!
The thing I love about fragranced free products are that when you accidentaly taste them, you don't taste anything. Yay for fragrance-free!
Price : 5/5 stars.
I almost gave this a 6 too!
Very satisfied. I got them for like 2 for RM9.90, which is like 1 for RM4.95? Which is like $1.50 in USD and 1 pound in GBP?!
Really cheap and worth it due to its really good quality!
Would I repurchase : Yes
I would repurchase this colour as although it is not the nude I thought it would be, its still pretty and its perfect for everyday lips.

Overall, I am satisfied!
Here are the lip swatches :

Gorgeous colour, see?
This is one coat without lip balm.

Toodles!
